Final 2024 UDS PAL and 2024 UDS Changes Webinar

The final 2024 Uniform Data System (UDS) Program Assistance Letter (PAL) (PDF) is now available. It announces the changes that we will make to the UDS calendar year 2024 legacy reporting. Health center staff who will prepare the UDS data report should review the PAL for important updates on 2024 reporting requirements.

The PAL details changes including:

  • Updates to UDS clinical quality measure specifications to align with current CMS electronic-specified clinical quality measures (eCQMs)

  • Reporting the number of health center patients screened for family planning needs, including contraceptive methods

Learn more about the changes in the PAL at our upcoming webinar:

2024 UDS Changes

2:00-3:30 p.m. ET

We will not cover UDS patient-level submission (UDS+) reporting at the webinar. The updates detailed in the PAL will, where applicable, be incorporated into UDS+ reporting. We will share additional details and guidance on UDS+ in late summer.

Thank you for supporting timely 2023 reporting. We expect to release the 2023 UDS data in August. Remember, our UDS Training and Technical Assistance (TA) website is a hub for all resources related to reporting. As soon as it’s available, we’ll post the 2024 UDS Manual there — and, of course, announce it here.

Submit inquiries via the BPHC Contact Form (Uniform Data System > UDS Reporting).

Interested in Increasing Your Community’s Representation in Research Trials?

The Association of Clinical Research Organizations (ACRO) Diversity and Inclusion Site Resource Grants Program welcomes applications from health centers. The program will improve the reach of clinical research into underrepresented communities by increasing the diversity of investigators and trial participants. The program is a 12-month incubator project to generate innovative approaches to diversifying trial enrollment. Award decisions will consider:

  • Less experienced community sites that need upskilling and/or other support to attract industry studies, and/or
  • Experienced sites seeking to increase the pool of diverse participants they enroll in studies.

Visit ACRO’s website to learn more or apply by Friday, May 31.
